Tickets for Brother Sun available, a Habitat benefit concert
OXFORD – Chenango County Habitat for Humanity (CCHH) members are selling tickets now to the talented trio, Brother Sun, who will be performing at 6 On The Square (6OTS), over Fathers’ Day weekend, on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The community is invited to an unforgettable evening of moving music while benefiting Habitat.
Brother Sun are nationally touring folk artists from three major points on the map - Greg Greenway of Boston, Pat Wictor of New York, and Joe Jencks of Chicago. The harmonies and lyrics sung by Pat, Greg, and Joe celebrate the amazing power of singing together, and their music is warm as a campfire, stirring as a gospel church, and rousing as a call to arms. Calling upon contemporary songwriting, and informed by the deep roots of gospel, blues, and folk, the trio weaves a tapestry of harmony that is brilliantly fresh and yet so familiar. Brother Sun’s three rich voices blend on a well-crafted foundation of guitar, slide guitar and piano.
Habitat for Humanity offers “a hand up, not a handout”. Buy Brother Sun Concert Tickets and help Habitat make dreams come true by helping to provide affordable housing to families in Chenango County. Concert tickets for this evening of exceptional music are $20, and are available from any CCHH member. They’re also available in advance from Bartle’s Pharmacy in Oxford, and Service Pharmacy in New Berlin, Sherburne, and Norwich. They’re available online through 6OTS at www.6onthesquare.org/schedule.php (add $2 for on-line ticket surcharge). 6OTS doors open at 6:30 that evening.
