Norwich races past Edmeston

HAMILTON – Jeremy Fitch and Chris Trevisani combined for 14 strikeouts, and the rest of the Norwich lineup provided ample offense in a 15-5 win at Edmeston Monday in the Otsenango Pony League.
Norwich led 5-0 after one frame, and the Purple-clad diamond men scored at least once in every inning. Lead-off hitter Cameron Prime walked four times, scored four runs, and had seven stolen bases Greg Todd, Robert Jeffrey, Robbie Wheeler, Josh Haines, and Fitch all came through with two hits apiece. Four different Norwich players also scored two runs, and a total of 26 stolen bases were charted in the game. Fitch pitched four-plus innings for the victory.
Clayton Lyon went 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBI to lead Edmeston.
Norwich faced Hamilton Tuesday evening, but the contest was halted after four innings due to lightning. The game will be completed tonight at Norwich.
