Norwich pulls away from Hamilton

NORWICH – Norwich picked up where it left off before Tuesday’s game suspension pulling away for the Otsenango Pony League win on Wednesday.
Norwich held a 3-2 lead after four innings Tuesday before lightning and rain cut the contest short. Last night, the host Purple scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth to break the game open.
Six different Norwich players had single ribbies to support winning pitcher Cody Graves. Graves went the distance striking out 11 and giving up six Hamilton hits. Cameron Prime, Josh Haines, Robert Jeffrey, Greg Todd, and Graves all had two hits for Norwich. Prime scored three runs from the leadoff spot, while Haines and Jeffrey scored two times apiece.
The win improved Norwich’s record to 5-2 on the season.
