Fourth of July tournament at Bluestone
OXFORD – Bluestone Golf Course in Oxford is hosting a Fourth of July tournament this Monday beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The format is 18 holes, captain and mate, and all 18 holes will be played as par-threes. The entry fee is $34 for members and $49 for members. That entry fee includes a riding cart, greens fee, skins, cash prizes, and hole-in-one prizes. Players may call the pro shop at 843-8352 in advance of the tournament to sign up their team, or register to play the day of the tourney.
YMCA hosting track and field camp
NORWICH – The Norwich YMCA is hosting a track and field camp each Wednesday through Aug. 10 at Norwich High School from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The program is open to all boys and girls ages 8-14, and instruction will include block starts, hurdles, shot put, discus, high jump, long jump, relay hand-offs, and speed and pacing. Experienced coaches and accomplished track athletes will be on hand to share their expertise and love of the sport.

Golf tournament at Colonial Ridge set for July 30
LAURENS – The Presbyterian Church in Gilbertsville will host the 11th Annual Invitational Golf Tournament at Colonial Ridge Golf Course in Laurens.
The tournament, beginning with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, is a four-person captain and crew format. The tourney is open to anyone who likes to play golf.
