EDMESTON – Oxford batted around in the fourth scoring seven times to bust open its Otsenango Pony League game with Edmeston last Thursday. Oxford tacked on seven more runs – again batting around – in the seventh to win going away.

Cameron Heggie lashed a three-run double in the seventh and Richard Ryan smacked a two-run two-bagger to highlight the final inning. Ryan was 4-for-5 on the day and picked up the victory. Joe Nelson tossed 2 1-3 innings of scoreless relief.

Matt Moore went 3-for-6 with four runs scored to lead the Oxford offense.

Edmeston’s Linton Wainwright hit an RBI single in the second to knot the game at 2-2. On the same play, Heggie threw out another Edmeston baserunner to end the frame.
