Acclaimed classical guitarist to perform at New Berlin Library
NEW BERLIN – Peter Fletcher, nationally acclaimed classical guitarist, will be performing at 6:30 p.m. next Wednesday at the New Berlin Public Library. This will be Fletcher’s second appearance at the library, where he will be performing pieces by J.S. Bach, Maurice Ravel and many other classical composers of the last five centuries.
Fletcher has been studying the guitar since the age of seven and has studied in numerous master classes with such auspicious teachers as David Leisner, David Russel, Oscar Ghiglia and Pepe Romero. He received the Master of Music degree from the Eastman School of Music as well as two Eastman Graduate Awards.
He has since been invited to play at numerous concert halls around the United States and in February 2007 made his debut at Carnegie Hall. He has continued to play each year at Carnegie Hall and will return again in 2011. He has released four albums each of which have received critical acclaim.
