NORWICH – The Norwich City Police have identified the driver involved in a hit and run accident last week.

Jessica Richardson, 36, of Norwich, was charged Friday with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, a violation, in connection with the incident, which took place at approximately 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6.

According to police, Richardson was the driver of a blue Jeep Liberty which ran a stop sign at the intersection of Front and South Broad Streets and struck a tan 4-door car traveling south on South Broad. She allegedly fled the scene after the accident, drove West onto Eaton Ave. and ran a second stop sign at the intersection of Eaton and Elm. The vehicle was last seen headed south on Elm Street.
