AIM Fitness sponsors charity golf tournament to benefit Chenango SPCA

OXFORD – This Saturday, AIM Fitness is asking its members and supporters to change out of their fitness clothes and into their golf clothes for the first ever golf outing at Blue Stone Golf Course in Oxford.

According to proprietor Eric Montalvo, proceeds from the captain and crew golf tournament will benefit the Chenango SPCA.

“In times of economic hardship, animals are normally not mentioned or associated with families. We enjoy our animals at our home and have organizations like the SPCA to thank for that,” he said.

This isn’t the first time AIM Fitness has helped support the Chenango SPCA. The last two summers, the gym has hosted a Family Fitness Day during which they’ve raised money for the animal shelter. The golf tournament won’t replace that event, but supplement it.

“We decided to give a fall Family Fitness Day a shot this year,” Montalvo explained.
