NORWICH – Four young men were lucky enough to walk away from a roll-over accident on East River Road in the Town of Norwich this morning. The car, a while Nissan Altima, was driven by a 17 year-old Greene resident.

According to Deputy Jeff Messina of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, the car was headed north on County Road 32 when it left the roadway approximately two miles south of Polkville Hill. The car barreled through a locked livestock gate and rode the guard rail approximately 100 yards up a steep private drive before overturning. It left debris strewn in its wake, including a sawed off utility pole which was uprooted in the crash.
