Milford Academy grads signed as NFL free agents

NEW BERLIN – Milford Academy added three more players to the NFL ranks following the frenzy of free agent signings earlier this week.
Craig Cooper (University of Miami) joins fellow Milford alum, LeSean McCoy, in Philadelphia; Jake Vermiglio (North Carolina State) was signed by the Arizona Cardinals; and Ollie Ogbu (Penn State) was picked up by the Indianapolis Colts. Those three join Oakland Raiders sixth-round NFL draft pick, Richard Gordon (University of Miami) on the growing list of players who performed for the Falcons during their one-year stay in New Berlin.
Milford Academy opens the 2011 season at home when it entertains Atlanta Sports Prep on Aug. 20 at 6 p.m. The full season schedule is available online at www.milfordacademy.org/athletics-schedule.html.
