GREENE – Defending MAC champion Greene routed Delhi Tuesday afternoon behind a career day from Alex Leone.
Leone had five goals for the Trojans in a romp over the traditionally-tough Bulldogs. Alex Driscoll had a hat trick, while Karl Zaengle scored his first varsity goal.
Delhi actually scored first in the opening 2 1/2 minutes before giving up 10 unanswered tallies. Chris DaCosta had the equalizer goal for Greene when his shot deflected off the Delhi goalie.

OXFORD – An explosive start to the second half led to three goals in the first 10 minutes The last two goals came from the Bobcats’ Brooks Harmon and Adam Bauerle giving the road team a one-goal victory.
Oxford’s Justin Schray tallied twice, and Cameron Heggie netted his first varsity goal. Schray’s second goal of the game occurred just moments into the second half. Harmon netted a direct kick four minutes into the second half, and Bauerle’s second goal of the game found the net at the 10-minute mark.
The Blackhawks came out fast with Schray and Heggie each scoring in the game’s opening three minutes. “We dominated early in the game, but pretty much folded after that,” said Oxford coach Jim Champlin.

NEW BERLIN – Walton scored four times in each half finding the net on better than 50 percent of its shots on goal.
Collin Shick scored three times for the Warriors, and Ben Conklin added two goals and two assists.
Brett Smith had the lone goal for UV. “Despite the score, it was a very even game,” said UV coach Ryan Houck. “Walton excelled at finishing and following up their shots, while we had difficulty finding the back of the net.”

AFTON – Sidney’s Marcus Obeava broke a scoreless tie 30 minutes into the first half, and Obeava added a second goal in the second half in Tuesday’s MAC game.
The Crimson Knights posted their highest shot total (17) in two seasons, and were forced to play the entire game with the minimum 11 players, said head coach Todd Dancesia. Afton plays Downsville next Wednesday.

Seton Catholic Central 5, Norwich 2
BINGHAMTON – Norwich displayed much-improved play against sturdier competition in Tuesday afternoon’s match at Seton Catholic Central.
Nearly all of Norwich’s losses were tightly contested, said Norwich coach John Stewart. Earning victories were singles players Sophie Stewart and Alyssa Stagliano. “We played a lot better than our first match, and we’re getting more comfortable out there,” Coach Stewart said.
Norwich hosts Chenango Valley Thursday.

EDMESTON – A foul in the box during the first of two overtimes led to Shelby McCall’s winning penalty kick in Edmeston’s win over G-MU Tuesday.
After a scoreless first half, G-MU struck first on Tayler Nichols’ goal. Midway through the second half, the Panthers’ Kelsey Bressett knotted the game.
“Edmeston is always a good game, and we didn’t expect it to be as physical a game as it was,” said G-MU coach Tina Cole. “We played well. We just had some unfortunate calls at unfortunate times.”
