Late TD drive keeps Milford Academy's record perfect

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Milford Academy quarterback, Eric Berzinskas, drove his team 96 yards for the winning touchdown giving the Falcons a 26-21 victory over Lehigh University last weekend.
A Berzinskas 15-yard TD hookup with receiver Bryant Jones came with just six seconds remaining on the clock. The TD pass was Berzinskas’ second of the game, and it helped seal head coach Bill Chaplick’s 100th career victory with the club.
“This was Berzinskas’ best day at quarterback, and that last drive was as good as Elway’s,” Chaplick said, referring to Elway’s epic 98-yard drive in 1987 that led the Denver Broncos past Cleveland.
Milford Academy (3-0) took a 20-7 lead as Berzinskas threw a 56-yard TD pass to Donte Dotson, Darryl Flemister scored on a 15-yard-run, and Ashton Broyld connected with Levern Jacobs on a 30-yard TD pass.
Lehigh rallied for two touchdowns in the second half, one of those a 97-yard scoring run.
Milford Academy returns to action this Sunday when it plays at Wagner.
