‘New York Remembers’ opening postponed

NORWICH – Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office announced yesterday that today’s opening of the “New York Remembers” exhibit in Norwich would be canceled due to the immediate flood concerns across the state. The opening at the Chenango County Council of the Arts, which was set for Friday, has been rescheduled for 8:45 a.m. on Sunday in the gallery on West Main Street. The gallery will be open to the public all day on Saturday and Sunday. Gallery hours following Colorscape weekend will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every day. Extended evening hours will also be available on certain days to be determined.
According to Executive Director Victoria Kappel, school groups are encouraged to call for available times. For more information about the exhibit and gallery hours, contact the Council of the Arts at 336-2787.
