Unadilla Valley 3, Oxford 2 (OT)
OXFORD – Unadilla Valley rallied from a two-goal halftime deficit to defeat Oxford in overtime Tuesday afternoon.
Brett Smith broke away from the Oxford defense, and scored four minutes into overtime to give UV the win. Smith finished with two goals, and Dan Schwab also tallied for the Storm. “I reminded everyone a halftime that we had been in this position before – ahead 2-0,” said Oxford coach Jim Champlin. “We actually made some adjustments at halftime to shore up the defense, but it was to no avail.
