Cyclones' C team rolls
CANASTOTA – The Cyclones’ “A” team fell 8-6 in a hard hitting contest in Canastota Saturday. Canastota was the “B” league champs in 2010.
The Cyclones got on the board first in the first quarter on a two-play, 57-yard drive. Carlos Ithier swept the left side for 26 yards, and a pass play from Jordan Vinal to Cameron Edwards was good for a 31-yard TD.
Several Cyclone drives were stalled by penalties, fumbles, and injuries.
Trey Muserallo and Matt Parrella lead the Cyclones’ D, with Cameron Edwards, Cole Rifanburg, Carter Hubbard and Nick Murphy playing good, hard-hitting defense.
The Cyclone “C” team remained undefeated with a 19-6 win over Oneida. Tom Parrella scored a TD in the first quarter, with Carson Maynard passing to JT Vinal for the point-after touchdown Austin Foulds added two more Cyclone touchdowns.
