GREENE – Greene’s Paige Wilcox had three goals to lift her season total to 12, and the Trojans exploded for three goals in a 90-second stretch to pull away from Delhi Wednesday.
Wilcox sliced through the Delhi defense to score the game’s first goal at 21:45 of the first half. Just 32 seconds, Melanie McBride backed up Wilcox’s tally, and Wilcox added the third goal just a minute later.
The win lifted Greene’s record back to .500 at 3-3 overall. Hope Beardsley also scored for Greene. “We had some losses early in the season to tough opponents,” said Greene coach Brandy Stone. “It’s nice to have games like these to build our kids’ confidence.
Greene hosts Sidney Friday.

Playing on Waterville’s turf field, the Marauders struggled with their passing early on before scoring at the 22-minute mark. “The touches were a little off. It’s a lot faster surface, and the girls had to adjust,” said S-E coach Kylie Davis of the turf.
Mikayla Solloway scored off a Sarah Cole pass, and just a little while later, Brianna Vibbard gave the Marauders a two-goal edge. Emma Karaman netted S-E’s lone goal of the second half.

NORWICH – After a scoreless first half, Windsor scored the game’s only goal 10 minutes into the second half to blank the Tornado (0-6) Wednesday afternoon.
Jeannette Bobier was credited with Windsor’s goal off a Sherree Baker pass. “We’re a good team that just happens to have a bad record,” said Norwich coach Dianne Fiorina. “We just can’t get that first win. Once we get that, it will be a big weight off everyone’s shoulders.”
Fiorina credited the senior play and leadership of Taylor Hagenbuch, Alyssa MacIntosh, and Kayla Hughes, who spearhead a young roster. “They’re doing a nice job with the younger kids, and they’re holding the team together,” Fiorina said of her seniors.
Norwich plays Downsville Friday at Emerson Fields in Oxford.

Taylor Jordan capitalized for the Marauders when she converted a penalty stroke with 10:42 left in the first 30 minutes. “The offense was doing its job, and Taylor made the stroke,” said S-E coach Sheila Cooman. “(Hamilton) was down in our circle a few times, and that is stressful as a coach, but they weren’t getting many shots. We also had many opportunities that we just missed.”
Katherine Robertson made five saves for S-E in earning the shutout. The Marauders play at Mohawk Friday.

WEST CANADA – Sherburne-Earlville, in a four-way meet Wednesday, fell to host West Canada Valley, Little Falls, and Sherburne-Earlville.
The Marauders were short-handed due to injury, illness, and eligibility, said head coach Anne Geary. Ian Benedict, a freshman, led the S-E boys over the 3.1-mile course timing a 19:48. Erin Mahardy was first among the Marauders’ girls timing 26:56. “With a couple guys out of the lineup tonight, that made a big difference in the final scores,” Geary said.
S-E runs in the E.J. Herman Invitational this Saturday.

NHS senior Sophie Stewart was dominant at second singles winning 6-4, 6-0 over Bryce Farrell. Norwich was also competitive at third singles, fourth singles, and first doubles. At first doubles, Norwich’s Jenny Borfitz and Breanna Cashman had a match point in the second set before losing a tight three-setter to the Saints’ Nora O’Connor and Lauren Crowley.
Kristin Orioli also had a set point in a marathon tiebreaker at third singles in which she lost 6-1, 7-6 (16-14). “Kristi played great tennis tonight, it’s too bad she didn’t come out on the good side,” said Norwich coach John Stewart. “Our first doubles team also played really well. They’re a first-year doubles team, and to compete that well against the best team in the league says a lot.”
Norwich hosts Johnson City Friday.
