German man charged in arson conspiracy
GERMAN – A Town of German man has been charged with fourth degree conspiracy, a class E felony, after he allegedly conspired with another person to commit the crime of third degree arson, a class C felony, according to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office.
Vasilios Pothos, 61, was indicted by the Chenango County Grand Jury on Sept. 22 for an alleged attempt to hire another individual to set fire to a vehicle.
Following the indictment, a warrant was issued and Pothos was arrested at his home by members of the Chenango and Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility without bail. He will appear in court today, according to Lt. Richard Cobb of the Sheriff’s Office.
