NORWICH – The last date to register to vote for the November 8th General Election is Friday, Oct. 14 at the County Board of Elections, 5 Court St, Norwich.
Any currently registered voter who has moved within Chenango County and who has not changed their address since the last time they voted may do so at this time. The deadline for submitting a Party enrollment change, which will become effective seven days after the General Election, is also Oct. 14.
Voters who are in need of an absentee ballot due to physical disability, temporary illness or who will be out of the County on General Election Day between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., may apply for an absentee ballot application by contacting or coming in to the County Board of Elections.
The Board of Elections hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Anyone with questions should call the Board of Elections at 337-1760 or 337-1762.
