CWS fundraiser featurees “Life Goes On” star

NORWICH – CWS Charitable Foundation, along with support from Staffworks and Warner Chilcott, is holding a fundraising event at The Canasawacta Country Club on Saturday Nov. 5 from 6 to 10 p.m.
CWS is pleased to welcome Chris Burke (who gained notoriety as Corky Thatcher on the television series “Life Goes On”) along with John and Joe DeMasi to our area for an uplifting and inspirational musical presentation. Burke was born with Down Syndrome and has devoted himself to delivering the message that what truly matters in life is your abilities, not your disabilities. Burke and The DeMasi Brothers will be holding a Meet & Greet following their performance. The Country Club will be supplying a buffet dinner and entertainment will be provided courtesy of The Beadle Brothers.
The cost to attend is $30 per ticket; reserve your tickets now by calling 334-5366 before Oct. 28. All proceeds will benefit CWS Program Outreach and Community Awareness.
