Sheriff’s Office investigating theft of campaign signs
COVENTRY – The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the theft of approximately 50 political campaign signs that occurred in late October in the Coventry area. According to authorities, a total of five political candidates’ signs were stolen from the intersection of State Highway 206 and County Road 27, as well as several other surrounding locations. Supporters of the candidates involved in the theft have pledged a $500 reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of any and all persons responsible. Anyone with information can contact Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Messina at 337-1932 or visit the Chenango County Sheriff’s website at chenangosheriff.us.
