Habitat dinner, auction and live music Saturday
OXFORD – Chenango County Habitat for Humanity (CCHH) invites the community to a special fundraising dinner on Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in St. Paul’s Episcopal Parish Hall, at 32 Main St., in Oxford. The dinner, unique décor, live music and all the donated Chinese auction items have been carefully planned to make this family friendly event successful and really enjoyable. Habitat is enticing everyone to come to dinner … hard hats optional!
The dinner entrée of baked ham with raisin sauce glaze will appeal to all ages. There will be a sweet potato “Casa”-role (pun intended), fresh broccoli salad, apple sauce, dinner roll, beverage, and a dessert of Brownie à la mode. Price is only $7 for adults; children, aged 6 to 12, are $5; and under age 5 are Free!
This home-cooked dinner, presented by servers in tool aprons ‘de rigueur’, is sure to fill everyone to the rafters! In keeping with the carpentry theme, kids (and adults) are welcome to come wearing Bob the Builder outfits, coveralls, hard hats or any comfortable building gear they enjoy wearing.
While waiting for your dinner to arrive, you’ll have time to read the custom designed activity placemat created by Woollybear Web in Oxford and printed by Hayes Office Products in Norwich. The placemat, featuring a Habitat building beaver named C.C., has a quiz, picture search, jokes, things to color, and can even be folded into a play house.
