OXFORD – National Survivors of Suicide Day will happen in 200 cities around the world Saturday, including a meeting at the United Methodist Church of Oxford.

The meeting will focus on discussions and connections and will include a national broadcast at noon by a panel of survivors who will recount their experiences and how they have coped with their loss.

According to Danielle Marshman, the local event coordinator, the day is “a good time to reach out to fellow survivors” and “gives a feeling of connection in a time when [many] feel so alone.”
