NORWICH – The Chenango County Council of the Arts, Norwich, announces their holiday show for 2011, Barrage in “A Winter’s Tale,” at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 in the Martin W. Kappel Theater.

Barrage, the Explosive Violin Spectacle, seamlessly blends unique musical arrangements, lyrical vocalizations and expressive contemporary dance and choreography in a unique and exhilarating presentation of unbounded musical energy.

The new holiday performance titled “Winter’s Tale” offers up a diverse fusion of cultures, musical styles and incredible performance vitality. The music of Barrage continues to evolve – combining contemporary world music influences, layered vocal arrangements and pulsating modern beats and rhythms. In “Winter’s Tale” audiences will hear tunes of celebration that they may not have heard before as well as old favorites delivered in a unique and totally refreshing way. The cast of five violinists / vocalists, drummer, bass player and guitar player delivers the new show with amazing energy and musical virtuosity that will take your breath away.
