AFTON – A pair of 16-year-olds were arrested and charged on Monday in connection with a burglary in the Town of Afton last week, according to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office.

It’s alleged that the two defendants unlawfully entered an Afton residence, stealing several items including a 42-inch television and an undisclosed amount of cash. Authorities said the pair made two separate trips to the residence, later storing the items in their attic. In addition, it’s alleged the two youths are responsible for other burglaries in the area and further charges are pending.
