Woman charged in cocaine bust gets treatment court
NORWICH – A 33-year-old Syracuse woman charged in connection with convicted cocaine dealer Richard Tyler received one year of treatment court in Onondaga County in county court on Monday.
As part of an agreed upon disposition, Semajdanyell Baker pleaded guilty to fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class E felony, and will not face time in state prison if she successfully completes treatment in the Syracuse area.
Baker has been out on bail for nearly a year, according to District Attorney Joseph McBride, who said she’s been in “no significant trouble” since then.
