NORWICH – Santa will have a new view from East Park this year as his Norwich igloo has moved closer to the sidewalk and his Chenango County helpers make preparations for his annual visit.

Construction volunteers had to modify Santa’s igloo this year, altering the walls to fit in his new space in the park. Meanwhile, volunteers and donations are helping to make Santa’s stay as welcoming as possible.

“It’s a community effort to put this together,” said BID Executive Director Roz DeRensis. “It’s amazing how many people want to help during this tradition.”
