Senator tours Golden Artist Colors

COLUMBUS – New York State Senator David Valesky, D-Oneida, visited Golden Artist Colors Monday to tour the facility and the new Sam and Adele Golden Artist Residence space.

Valesky also discussed challenges to upstate businesses and local communities.

“Golden Artist Colors is one of the many great small, family-owned businesses in New York State,” he said. “It was great to see first-hand how a manufacturer is working to become a global leader in their market while maintaining a connection to the local community.”

The residence hall, which is located in a renovated century-old barn minutes away from the factory, had been a life-long goal of the company’s founders, said Golden’s Jodi O’Dell, corporate communications specialist.
