NORWICH – Matt Gladstone rolled a career-high 742 series highlighted by an opening-game 277 as Norwich swept five points from Greene Thursday afternoon.
Gladstone marked in all but one frame, and four out of five Norwich bowlers had 600-plus series’ in racking up a 3,148 pin total.
Darrel Humphrey rolled a 658, Dakota Conant was next at 651, and Ben Barnes tallied a 623
The Tornado girls overcame a first-game loss to the Trojans to earn a 4-1 victory. Zenna Copeland’s 480 series led NHS.
Norwich is idle until Jan. 9 when it visits Chenango Forks.

Joe Nelson (99) and Mark Golden (113) had the Blackhawks’ lone wins on the day. The unbeaten Nelson pinned Mike Bryden in 1:21, while Godlen pinned Nick Massucci in 3:12. “Mark has been struggling, and this was a big win for him,” said Oxford coach Craig Tefft. “He took it to his guy.”
