AFTON – The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office – aided by the Afton Fire Department – responded shortly after 2 p.m. on Monday to a fatal one-car accident in the Town of Afton. The driver, 68-year-old Michael A. Minichino, Afton, was killed as a result of the crash, which occurred on State Highway 7, east of the township. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
