Afton woman, boyfriend charged with felonies after attempt to bring cocaine into jail

AFTON – An Afton woman has been charged with a pair of felonies after she allegedly attempted to sneak narcotics into the Chenango County Correctional Facility for her boyfriend, currently held on separate charges, on New Year’s Day.

Cheyenne Greenier, 20, has been charged with fifth degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and first degree attempted promoting prison contraband – class D and E felonies respectively – as well as fifth degree conspiracy, a misdemeanor.

Greenier’s boyfriend, 27-year-old Anthony Salino, was also charged with attempted promoting prison contraband and conspiracy.
