GHS opens new branch
NORWICH – GHS Federal Credit Union hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new facility on Friday. The grand opening was held in conjunction with Commerce Chenango and GHS is planning even more events for its members in the coming months to commemorate its new location.
GHS made the decision to purchase the former Byrne Dairy building at 35 East Main St. last fall. Following more than three months of extensive renovations, the credit union has a new place to call home and now offers a two-lane drive-up which includes a drive-up ATM – services that have not been available since the credit union originally opened its doors in Norwich in 1991.
“Every new year offers opportunities for new beginnings. GHS will be starting 2012 with a bang,” said GHS president and CEO Dan Leclerc in the company’s latest newsletter. “Investing in the local community and offering added convenience to our members is very exciting.”
