Ward earns Eagle Scout rank
NORWICH – In a ceremony that attracted family members from across the state and scouters of all ages, Bradley Ward received his Eagle Scout award Saturday at the United Church of Christ in Norwich.
Ward is a fourth generation Eagle Scout and the tenth member of his family to achieve the auspicious award. He has been involved in scouts since he was ten and during the ceremony attributed his success to the support of his family and strong leadership in Troop 63 of Norwich and Troop 55 in Oxford.
Other noted guests were Assemblyman Clifford Crouch and his wife Barbara, and Norwich Mayor Joseph Maiurano.
“It’s not often that we have the chance to attend these ceremonies,” said Crouch. “Scouting is such a large part of this family; it’s truly inspiring to see.”
