Valley Heights boys and girls sweep wins
NORWICH – On its senior recognition night earlier this week, Valley Heights Christian Academy’s basketball teams – boys and girls – swept victories from North Spencer Christian School.
Jessie Ray (16), Tiffany Davis (15), and Amanda Evans (14) all reached double figures scoring for the VHCA ladies in a 57-21 victory. The trio combined for 41 of their 45 total points over the first three periods in building a 47-12 lead. Evans led with 12 rebounds and eight assists, while Ray had seven steals and five assists.
Kevin Stockwell scored 20 points for the Crusaders’ boys, while Brennan Lawton (15) and Andrew Hunt (12) also reach double-digit scoring in a 61-42 victory over NSCS.
Stockwell scored 16 points in the opening half leading his club to a 40-13 advantage, and he added 10 rebounds and six assists. Lawton contributed five steals and five assists.
