Car Museum hosts Super Bowl Sunday promotion
NORWICH – On a day that’s all about football, classic car enthusiasts will also have reason to get out on Sunday as the Northeast Classic Car Museum hosts its annual Superbowl Sunday Special.
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the museum will welcome people to view displays of some of the rarest cars around, offering a one-day only two-for-one admission price. Not to leave anyone out of this promotion, the price for single admission will also be reduced from the usual $9 to $6.
This promotional event has been successful for the Northeast Classic Car Museum in the past and hopes are that it will be equally successful this year, said Marty Kuhn, marketing coordinator for the museum.
“Outcome usually varies depending on the weather, but we have seen an increase over the years and attendance is even slightly up,” said Kuhn, citing the success of the museum’s promotional events and attraction of new exhibits.
The Superbowl Sunday Special may also be one of the final chances many people have to see the ‘Wild Things and Wild Rides’ exhibit, which shows off cars and motorcycles named for animals, birds and reptiles. Kuhn said that this display will be replaced by the ‘Crystal’ exhibit in May, which commemorates the museum’s 15th anniversary.
Other coming events at the Classic Car Museum include a bridal show to be hosted at the end of February and the Pot o’ Gold Raffle in March, when a grand-prize winner will receive $10,000. These are great opportunities to see all that the museum has to offer, said Kuhn.
