Man charged with burglary, grand larceny

NORWICH – A Norwich man is currently being held at the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail for an alleged burglary that took place late Friday night or early Saturday morning, according to the Norwich City Police Department.

Charles Franklin Cahill, 43, 12 State St., was charged with third degree burglary and fourth degree grand larceny – class D and E felonies respectively – following a police investigation into a forced entry at the St. Bartholomew’s Parish Center and the theft of electronic equipment from its office.
