Felony hearing waived
NORWICH – Accused felon Charles Franklin Cahill waived his right to a felony hearing in City Court on Tuesday and was remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash bail. Cahill, 43, of Norwich, was charged with third degree burglary and fourth degree grand larceny – class D and E felonies respectively – following an alleged burglary that took place late Friday night or early Saturday morning at the St. Bartholomew’s Parish Center, 81 East Main Street. Cahill will appear in Chenango County Court for his indictment at a later date, according to First Assistant District Attorney Stephen M. Dunshee.
