ALBANY – State Senator James L. Seward (R/C/I–Oneonta) congratulated Unadilla Valley Central School Superintendent Robert Mackey earlier this week following his receipt of the education advocate of the year award from the New York State Coalition for School-Based Health Centers.

“School-based health centers fill a great void, especially in rural areas like those I serve,” said Senator Seward. “Robert Mackey recognizes that having a school-based health center at Unadilla Valley means healthier children while providing peace of mind for parents, many who can’t afford health insurance or to take time off from work for a trip to the doctor. His never-ending advocacy is a leading reason why the school-based health center is set to reopen its doors.”
