NORWICH – The Chenango County Republican Committee unanimously endorsed Congressman Richard Hanna in his re-election bid for the 22nd Congressional District, Chairman Tom Morrone announced last Friday.

The newly-drawn 22nd Congressional District includes all of Chenango, Cortland, Madison and Oneida counites as well as part of Oswego, Herkimer, Broome and Tioga counties. The Chenango County Republican Committee endorsed Hanna in 2008 and 2010. Hanna, who lives in Barneveld, said he is proud to again have the support of the Chenango committee.

“The committee feels Congressman Hanna is doing a great job serving Chenango County and we proudly support his re-election,” Chairman Morrone said. “We’re pleased that he makes regular visits to Chenango County to meet with constituents and cover our issues. As a businessman, he knows what is needed to revitalize our economy and bring jobs back to upstate New York.”
