New Berlin Ambulance Service hosts fundraiser at Deer Path restaurant
NEW BERLIN – Ready for a roast pork dinner, chicken Marsala or baked ziti on a Sunday afternoon at the Deer Path Restaurant in Columbus?
Friends of the Village of New Berlin Ambulance Service are inviting all area residents to dinner April 22 to support the NBAS. Excellent entrees and homemade desserts will be served, the cash bar will be open and live music will be playing in the background.
Dinners will be served from 2 to 4 p.m. and a $25 donation covers the meal, beverage, dessert and gratuity. Tickets will soon be on sale at the New Berlin Village Office.
The NBAS’s March fundraiser netted more than $4,200 as residents streamed to the firehouse on a beautiful Saturday for breakfast and dinner, baked goods and NBAS buttons.
The chicken ran out early that day and tickets for this event may go quickly as well, so people are advised to reserve their places early. Dinners will be served from 2 to 4 p.m., and the doors will close at 6 p.m.
The NBAS, which has been serving the area since 1955 ran into financial trouble this year as it increased ambulance coverage from 12 hours a day to 24.
The public has pitched in with orders for barbecued chicken in March, a Sunday dinner at the Deer Path in Columbus in April, and maybe a spaghetti sauce showdown in May.
