Former Edmeston clerk arrested

EDMESTON – Former Town of Edmeston Clerk Janet Lynn Fallon was arrested Friday by sheriff’s investigators for stealing $2,744 from the Town of Edmeston between January 2008 and December 2009.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) received the complaint from the Town of Edmeston attorney last May after the New York State Comptroller’s Office had completed an audit of the clerk’s office. Fallon, who formerly resided in Otsego and Chenango Counties, moved to southern Virginia last year. Investigators from the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Va. and OCSO previously interviewed Fallon regarding the missing money. A warrant of arrest for Fallon was signed by Edmeston Judge Amanda Conklin and sent to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office.
