Missing man found in Binghamton

PRESTON – A man missing from the Preson area since Monday has been found and is home safe, authorities say.
The Chenango County Sheriff's Office announced late Thursday that Charles Stever, 57, Preston, was located safely in the City of Binghamton. Stever was found by Broome County Security at a bus station in Binghamton yesterday afternoon.
“The Sheriff's Office would like to thank everyone for their assistance and vigilance during this investigation,” said Lt. Rich Cobb in a press release.
A search for Stever began Monday, when police said he was last seen wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. They reported that Steven often frequents the area of County Road 4 and County Road 10A into the City of Norwich, and numerous posters on the Sheriff’s Department Facebook page reported having seen the man walking there on prior occasions.
