Norwich changes school schedules

NORWICH – The Norwich City School District has restructured its drop-off and pick up times – and locations – for the 2012-2013 school year, according to Superintendent Gerard O’Sullivan.
As it was last year, Perry Browne and Gibson elementary school students will continue with their 7:45 a.m. drop-off and supervision time. Classes will begin at 8:10 a.m. at Perry Browne and 8:20 a.m. at Gibson. Perry Browne students will be dismissed at 3:10 p.m., while Gibson students will be dismissed at 3:20 p.m.
Norwich High School and Middle School bus drop-offs will take place in the main parking lot – by the gymnasium doors – this year. Middle school classes will begin at 7:40 a.m., with high school classes beginning at 7:35 a.m. Both middle and high school students will be dismissed at 2:08 p.m.
Parent pick-up for middle school students will take place in the back middle school parking lot and alongside the middle school driveway, adjacent to the former Apple Converting plant. High school parents will pick-up students in the baseball field parking lot.
Bus routes and bus times are now being finalized, said O’Sullivan, and will be made available shortly.
