Letter to the Editor: Revoir is the right choice for next Chenango judge

Editor,
We have a hotly contested race this year for next Chenango County Judge. One of the candidates has displayed an impressive resume’ – for a prosecutor. Do we really need that type of confrontational mentality or experience for this Judgeship? The majority of cases in Chenango County Court are Family Court cases.
We have another candidate who does not wear his credentials on his sleeve but goes about his business in an unobtrusive manner with no fanfare. He possesses integrity, honesty, compassion and common sense and can be firm when necessary. He has an extensive knowledge of the justice system and has affected the lives of many in the community in a positive manner.
That other candidate is Frank Revoir, and my wife and I have known him and his family for a long time. Frank has been our family attorney for several years and has always provided wise counsel.
Unfortunately, I am not of Mr. Revoir’s political affiliation and cannot vote for him on primary day. However, I support him; and I urge all who are eligible to get out there and support him on Thursday, Sept. 13. Frank has the right experience, the right temperament, and is the right person to be our next Chenango County Court Judge.
