Motorcyclist killed following head-on collision
NORTH NORWICH – A Sherburne man was killed Saturday night while traveling north on state Route 12 when the motorcycle he was operating struck a passing car in the Town of North Norwich, approximately half a mile from the highway’s intersection with county Road 32.
David A. Klingman, 38, was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency personnel arrived, according to a Chenango County Sheriff’s Office press release, and is believed to have crossed the center line before striking a southbound vehicle and being ejected from the motorcycle.
The southbound vehicle’s passengers, Allen Marsters, 73, and Joyce Post, 69, both of Sherburne, were uninjured.
