I write this letter as a vote of confidence for Dan Palmer in his bid for election as Alderman of the 6th Ward, even though I am not a resident of the 6th Ward. I see in Dan an earnest young man who could impact significantly business and community development. Dan Palmer is a small business owner in the City of Norwich and as such adds a different perspective to community planning and development.

In the many years I worked with business owners at the Entrepreneur Center of the Chenango County Chamber of Commerce, I came to admire people like Palmer who embody the spirit of the American Dream. People like Palmer leave the comfort of a steady paycheck and embark in a journey to see their dreams come true. We all benefit from their drive because they open doors for families to have a job, they beautify and restore old buildings, and keep businesses active in the City of Norwich.
