SOUTH OTSELIC – Otselic Valley scored both of its goals in the final nine minutes to win by shutout Monday in a non-league game against Blessed Virgin Mary.
After a clearing pass by Angel Marshall, Brent Rasmussen beat the BVM sweeper for the first goal. With just two minutes remaining, Jason Olin’s pass deep into the 18-yard box was directed in by Trevor Marston.
“Our defense, Matt Neal, Jason Olin, Travis Sheldon, and Connor Smith along with goalie Jon Luizzo did a phenomenal job holding Blessed Virgin Mary scoreless,” said OV coach Jacob Preston.

Morgan Bullis added seven assists and Cassie Safford picked up three aces. “It was definitely back and forth,” said Sidney coach Paul Sims. “They had a couple of tough servers, and they put together some good runs. That’s where we ended up losing out.”
