Hanna to host Job Fair Wednesday
NORWICH – Representative Richard Hanna (NY-24) will host a local jobs fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday at the SUNY Morrisville Norwich Campus in an effort assist locals who are seeking employment and businesses looking to hire.
“I hope job seekers and hiring businesses will take advantage of this jobs fair to network and address their interests, whether it be to find a job or hire new employees,” Hanna said.
An invitation for area employers to attend was distributed from the representative’s office to surrounding businesses earlier this summer. “Upstate New York has been significantly affected by job loss, and the purpose of this event is to connect job seekers with businesses hiring or planning to hire in the near future,” Hanna stated in the letter. “We hope to attract a diverse crowd of attendees and help to foster a connection between our local industry and potential employees.”
In response, several businesses will be in attendance to discuss potential hiring opportunities for local job seekers. Among those participating: Springbrook; Oneida Nation Enterprises/Turning Stone Resort Casino; FrieslandCampina USA LP/Domo; Joshua House, Inc.; Cooperstown Medical Transport; Norwich Pharmaceuticals; Chobani; DCMO BOCES/Adult Ed; Unison Industries; Staffworks; NBT Bank; Mang Insurance Agency, LLC; NYS Historical Association and The Farmer’s Museum; UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital; Realty USA; Combined Insurance/ACE; Raymond Corporation; Ultra Dairy; Storeroom Solutions; and Norwich Aero.
