SHERBURNE – Sherburne-Earlville extended its unbeaten streak to five games Tuesday avenging an early-season loss to Adirondack.
Kevin Vibbard tallied the lone goal of the first half for S-E (7-3-2). After a failed clear attempt by the Adirondack defense, Vibbard beat the keeper the ball, headed it past him, and finished off the play. Carter Cole and Elijah Morris scored their seventh and sixth goals of the season respectively to pad the advantage over the final 40 minutes
“We’ve been doing well with our possession game, and the work we’ve put in during practice is paying off,” said S-E coach Mike Rodriguez. “The kids are starting to get it, and the biggest thing is that everyone is now healthy.”
S-E plays at Clinton Thursday.

Already leading 3-1 at the half, McGraw scored its fourth and fifth goals one minute apart midway through the period. Devin McGuinness and Nick Cowen tallied to put a cap on the scoring.
“McGraw is a good team, but we beat ourselves,” said OV coach Jacob Preston.
OV closed the gap to 2-1 with two minutes left in the first half when Brent Rasmussen converted a cornerkick from Connor Smith. McGraw struck back in the final minute of the half on David Levitsky’s unassisted goal.

Danielle Cary scored at the 20-minute mark of the first half with Madison Beerman picking up the assist. Courtney Vaccaro followed up for the Black Knights as Beerman again set up the goal.
“Windsor has gotten a lot better. Their coach used to be at BCC, and he’s done a good job for them,” said Norwich coach Dianne Fiorina. “We brought up some kids today to help us out, and they did a good job for us. We also had a number of good chances on offense.”
Fiorina credited the field play of Alyssa Welch, Molly Moore, and Shelby Benjamin. Norwich is at Chenango Valley Thursday.

Alissa Rivera had 10 kills and Morgan Bullis added 13 assists. With the match tied at one game apiece, B-G took control in the third game behind 14 straight service points from Meghan Hopkins. Hopkins finished with 18 total service points.
“Every one of the girls played and played quite a bit,” said B-G coach Pam Tompkins. “We’ve been going to a lot of tournaments this year against a higher level of competition, and it’s making all of our kids better.”
Amber Parkison had five kills for Greene (6-5) in the loss.

ENDWELL – Maine-Endwell capitalized on a diminished Norwich lineup winning all but three events in Tuesday’s win at Norwich High School.
The Tornado were missing three key performers due to injury or illness, said head coach Kevin Diefenbacher. Still, he was happy with the team’s progress as it moves into the final third of the season. “We had five more personal-bests, and they’re continuing to drop time,” Diefenbacher said of the team. “They’re right on pace for sectionals at the end of the year.”
Erin Gawronski won three times for Norwich (3-3) taking the 200 individual medley and 100-yard butterfly. She also teamed up with Marybeth Ward, Rachel Zieno, and Taylor Zieno to win the meet-closing 400-yard freestyle relay.
Norwich visits Susquehanna Valley Friday.

ONEONTA – In a three-way meet with Oneonta and Windsor, Norwich’s boys and girls each went 1-1 in dual meet scoring Tuesday afternoon.
On the boys’ side, the Tornado topped Windsor, 24-31, and lost a tight final to host Oneonta, 25-28. Norwich junior Robert Jeffrey was the overall race winner on the 4.5-kilometer course finishing in 14:52. Two spots back in third was Matt Murray in 15:41.
NHS’s girls defeated Oneonta 23-32, but fell to Windsor, 26-30. Martha Clemens and Faith Pike went third and fifth respectively to top the Purple harriers.
