Fred's Inn heavily damaged by fire
A Sunday afternoon fire damaged Fred's Inn just south Norwich. The fire was reported by an employee around 2:45 and quickly spread from inside a wall to the attic and roof. The damage to the building was reportedly extensive, but all employees and customers were safely evacuated. Crews from several area fire departments responded. More details in Monday's Evening Sun.
