Three sentenced, two plead guilty in county court

NORWICH – Five people charged with various misdemeanor and felony crimes appeared in county court Monday, two pleading guilty while three others were sentenced, one to three and a half years in state prison.

• Samuel Muir Jr., 62, Afton, pleaded guilty to third degree criminal possession of a controlled substance – a class B felony – and was sentenced to three and a half years in state prison and three years of post release supervision.

It’s alleged that Muir, in September of 2011, did knowingly and unlawfully possess approximately 28 grams of cocaine and 31 grams of Dihydrocodeinone – with Acetiminophen – with the intent to sell.

• Jeffrey H. C. Dugon, 25, Broome County, was sentenced to five years probation under the condition he remain employed and neither possess nor consume any alcohol, controlled substances or marijuana.

In July, Dugon pleaded guilty to two counts of second degree burglary, a class D felony, accused of unlawfully entering a pair of Afton residences with the intent to commit a crime.
